:The Baptist Confession of 1689 & The Westminster Confession of Faith

What We Believe:  We are a confessionally reformed church which means we hold to one or more of the historic confessions of the Protestant Reformation.

Although our church began its life as a distinctly Reformed Baptist church, in 2009 we expanded our confession of faith to include Reformed Presbyterians as well.

Our church currently adheres to both the London Baptist Confession of 1689 and the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1646. As to where these two documents differ we do not view those differences as something worth dividing over. As to which of these two confessions our members agree with we leave that up to each household or individual as the circumstance dictates.

Our Mission

  • To glorify Christ in the gospel (1 Corinthians 1:18).

  • To teach the Scriptures faithfully (2 Timothy 4:1-2).

  • To equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12).

  • To earnestly contend for the historic Christian faith (Jude 3).

  • To worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

  • To foster a grace-filled atmosphere (Ephesians 4:32)

  • To make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20)

Our distinctives

What makes us different from other churches? Well, first of all we're not that different from other churches you may be familiar with. In fact, we have a lot of things in common with many if not most of the churches in our area. We worship God in Trinity. We believe that Jesus was God in the flesh, that he lived the perfect life, that he died a sacrificial death for our sin, and that he rose again the third day. One day he is coming again. We believe in a grace salvation. We practice baptism and the Lord's Supper. We have a membership roll. We survive on free will donations collected on Sundays. We have Sunday Morning and Sunday Evening worship. So pretty standard, right?

But there are some things that make us unique and these things are important to us (some more than others). Below I've listed a few of these. If you have questions about these or anything else feel free to contact us. We're friendly people.
